Rhys Murray is an L.A.-based investigative journalist who loves a great mystery and has a knack for finding the truth. Her skills are unexpectedly tested on a visit to her Central Illinois hometown when she takes on a challenge to save an 1880s building from redevelopment and help a small shop owner keep his family business open. In the process, Rhys' surprising discovery solves a mystery from the past.
Erynn is in the query process for her first novel, Buried Truths. It’s a character-driven traditional mystery with a touch of suspense. Former journalist Rhys Murray investigates her great aunt’s suspicious death, driven by memories of her mother’s unsolved murder from 30 earlier. Rhys discovers that another family's dark secrets may hold the key to her aunt's death, putting her in the crosshairs of someone determined to bury the truth at any cost.
Erynn also has a few short stories in the works, as well as two family history-based non-fiction books. Houses That Jack Built focuses on Erynn's maternal grandfather’s 30-year homebuilding career and legacy in McLean County, Illinois. Seeking Sarah Jane recounts Erynn's genealogical research journey into her second great-grandmother’s life story, which had been a mystery to more recent generations.
